Toot! Toot! Did you read Mr. Parker’s letter tooting our horn about the exceptional results of the ITBS test scores at Divine Mercy. The condensed version: When comparing 1,012 8th grade students across the Diocese of Orlando in National Percentile Ranking (NPR), DMCA students came in a very close third place among 31 schools in the Diocese!
DMCA is starting a new “Charging Up To Graduation” tradition this week before mass begins. Please feel welcome to join us in the church by 8:15.
And speaking of GRADUATION….. our 8th grade graduation is Thursday evening, May 24th at 6:30 PM.
Get your RUN (or WALK) on!!! Mrs. Springer is calling all Charger Parents, friends and neighbors….. anyone that wants to run or walk the Running on Island Time 5K course over the summer. Monday evenings in June and July at 6:30 PM Please meet in the Divine Mercy Parking lot near the pavilion. Yes, DMCA students are welcome to attend but must have an adult with them on the course.
DMCA is taking a collection of items that we may be considering throwing away. We would love to have your “Pencil Pouch of Love” that we can package and send to others in need. If you have a pencil pouch or lunch box that you will likely replace with a new one for the 2018-2019 school year then please consider filling it with some pencils, pens, markers, crayons and any other little trinkets that you may be able to part with.
The Bagwell family will be delivering these items to those in need in a small village of 200. New or gently used items: school supplies, toiletry items, small items as well as small pouches to hold the items. Your generosity is very much appreciated.
Our calendar is not final…. But here are some August dates for you:
First day of school….. August 8th!
Running on Island Time…. August 25th.
