Mini Notes – 11/28/17

Vroom Vroom….  KEEP THOSE CAR RAFFLE TICKETS COMING!!!!  We have a contest between grades ….. Currently SECOND GRADE has the lead…. But watch out… other grades are starting to catch up!    Please drop off any sold tickets at the school office.     The drawing is December 15th – the night of the Christmas Program.   The winner may choose a car or $20,000.

Can you hear those Jingle Bells ring??? Yes It’s almost the day for SANTA WORKSHOP and PANCAKE BREAKFAST!

  • Please join us Sunday, December 10th from 9 – 11:30 AM in the dome for this fun family event. We will have kids crafts, cookie decorating, face painting, ELF SHOP (for kids to shop), silent auction, and photos with SANTA (YES… he will be here!).
  • The Knights of Columbus will offer a pancake breakfast ($5 a person, children 3 and under are free)
    For this Event to be a Success …… Volunteers are Needed!  If you have a  high school student needing volunteer points this is a great opportunity for them
  • Donations of gently used household goods are needed for the Elf Shop – the children’s shopping area at Santa’s Workshop. Please drop off your items in the faculty room by Wednesday, December 6th (no clothing)
  • FRONT ROW SEATING for the Children’s Christmas Program on December 15th will be offered as a silent auction item during Santa’s Workshop Sunday morning December 10th, as well as other lovely home decorating items.

We are hosting a FOOD DRIVE for St. Vincent DePaul Society on Friday, December 8th    Please help fill the Christmas baskets.    Thank you for your generosity.

Remember……  GIRLS NIGHT OUT  is Thursday evening, November 30th,  from 6:30 – 8:30 PM.   This evening of wine tasting and socializing is at 1745 Pine Island Road, Merritt Island and there is a suggested donation of $5.00 per person.   Invite your friends and stop in for a bit

Charger Corp will hold their next monthly meeting on December 7 at 7 PM in the library.   This year they are alternating between day and evening meetings.

DMCA’s CROSS COUNTRY is hosting a ½ mile trek on Friday, December 8th at King’s Park on North Merritt Island.   The student race begins at 4:30.   We are offering an adult race at 5 PM also!    Adults and non-cross country team members are invited to join for $5.   Non-cross country students must pre-register at the office or with Mrs. Springer.

FLAG FOOTBALL registration is now open for boys and girls in grades K-5.  The season is from 1/13/18  to 2/24/18.  Practices will be during the week and games are on Saturday mornings.  Please go to and select the Brevard Region to register.

Look for DMCA at the Merritt Island Parade on Saturday morning!

What is an inflatable planetarium??    Students in grades 3 – 8 will find out Thursday J

December 14th at 2 PM is our AWARDS ASSEMBLY for all!
